09/26/06 - Jersey Devil like Creature sighted in Wisconsin!

This story comes from a personal friend and author who has investigated the case herself. This took place near LaCross Wisconsin on september 26th. A man and his son were driving home at night and they saw a creature swoop over their windshield which they eventually described as "an estimated 6-7 feet tall, sported batlike, leathery wings with a span of 10-12 feet, long claws on its feet and hands and a snarling expression on the face." Later in the interview it was mentioned that the creature "screamed" at them as it fled. They began to feel ill for some length of time, and even vomitted immedietly after. As noted at the above URL, there have been more "strange creature" sightings by other people around that same town in years past such as 2 different Lizardman like creatures, and a giant bird sighting as well. While this creature being called the "Manbat" holds many similarities to the Jersey Devil, there are obvious differences. This is most likely a different creature altogethor. Dont forget, these types of large winged animals are not seen only to New Jersey. The State of Texas has also had its own creatures such as the case of the "Bigbird" in the mid 1970's. Also, Pterodactyl like birds have been seen in the western regions of the United States for decades.
